HDEW started out 30 years ago in 1993 as a small high street electrical shop in Wallington, Surrey, selling electrical appliances to the local community. From the very first day, we had to offer exceptional value for money and work harder than our competitors to survive and prosper.

We still have the same values today. From four shops, we transferred our business to the internet and strive to always offer great prices while maintaining high levels of down to earth service...before, during, and after the sales transaction.

We have an enviable level of repeat customers which we feel speaks to our quality of service, price offering and how easy we are to deal with. First-time buyers are often surprised that they are saving money but also getting human and attentive service from our sales staff. After one stress-free experience they come back again and again. We sell a lot of high value products. You need to have confidence that you are doing the right deal with the right company.

You can pay a deposit and collect from our offices which we know is popular with our first-time buyers spending a substantial sum. You can talk to us by phone or by email, making use of our team’s knowledge of cameras and computers. We don’t have rigid sales techniques to steer you to buy and only buy. All our people have their own phone or email style and their only rules are not to press for a sale and not to promise something they can't deliver.

We keep you informed of progress after you have ordered and our delivery process is first rate using reliable couriers. Again, it makes a difference when you can get a rapid update on delivery lead-time from our staff by phone or email should you need it.

In addition, if something was wrong with the package delivered or a fault developed with the product you can be safe in the knowledge that our after sales service is quick, fair and a priority for us and our suppliers.

With the move to online trading, HDEW adapted its business model by launching this website over 15 years ago. We have also broadened our product range by offering a sourcing service as a disclosed agent for Plemix, Hong Kong, who work with suppliers in the Far East to provide products for us to sell. When you buy through this sourcing service, you are buying direct from Brookvale Trade with HDEW Cameras acting as agent.
