3 YEAR WARRANTY WITH CAMERAS

When purchasing a camera from HDEWCameras there may be a 3 year warranty included. This is clearly stated on the product page and you will receive a warranty slip in the box with your camera. If you are unsure whether the item you are purchasing has a 3 year warranty please contact us to enquire. 

1. Period of Cover

Your product is covered for a total of 3 years from the date of purchase. This is the total period of cover regardless of any manufacturers guarantee.

2. Nature of Cover

This is a service contract not an insurance policy. Faults caused by misuse or accidental damage are not covered by this agreement. The cover includes parts and labour required for mechanical or electronic faults that occur in normal operation of the product. 

3. Repair Conditions

Repair will be carried out by a manufacturer authorised repair centre approved by us as your retailer. The cover enables repair by a manufacuter authorised centre approved by HDEWCameras for any work subject to the pre-approval of the estimate. Upon contacting HDEWCameras in relation to a fault with your product you may be asked to return the product directly to us for repair to be arranged or you may be asked to send or take the item directly for repair to the approved repair centre. 

4. Irreparable Products/Repeated Faults

If HDEWCameras deem the product beyond economic repaire or should the product require 2 or more repairs in the cover's lifetime HDEWCameras reserve the right to replace the product with a product of like kind and quality or reimberse the customer for the market value of the product at the time of replacement. Replacement products may be new or refurbished and may be less expensive than the original product due to technological advances and other factors. 

5. Limits of Liability 

Under no circumstances shall the liability of the cover exceed the original value of the products on the retailers invoice. Furthermore HDEWCameras will not accept responsibility for lost images, films or any other losses caused by the breakdown of the product.

6. Customer Responsibilities

You must follow the instructions for use and the maintenance recommendations provided by the manufacturer of the product. In particular you must protect your lenses from excessive sunlight and protect camera sensors from dust when changing lenses. It is also vital that when updating firmware on any camera that you ensure you follow the manufacturers guide and fully charge the battery before updating the firmware. Failing to do this will likely cause a major fault with the product which may not be covered under this warranty. 

7. Items Not Covered

Consumer accessories/peripherals/input devices such as but not limited to batteries, rechargeable batteries, bulbs, tapes, film, fuses, fluids, data recording media and software are not covered. All software and data must be saved by you prior to sending the item off for repair. Please note that HDEWCamera's 3 Year Warranty is applicable to camera bodies only. Lenses and accessories are only covered by a standard 1 year warranty unless otherwise stated on the product page. Any extended warranty on these lenses or accessories will Likely be covered by another provider. I.e Sigma lenses have a 3 year Sigma warranty included. 

8. Exclusions

Excluded from the cover are malfunctions caused by misuse or abnormal use such as but not limited to corrosion, rust, unreasonable dirt or dust build up, accidental or deliberate damage, theft or vandalism. 

10. Proof of purchase

This warranty contract is only valid with a proof of purchase and is not transferable. 

Repair Process

Please contact us providing your name, address, phone number (as on the original order). Ideally include your order number - any changes to your contact details or address since placing the order, a brief description of the fault and we will confirm the next steps. Please do not proceed with any repair without first consulting with us as it may void this warranty contract.
